Shooting guard, and surefire Hall of Famer, Ray Allen hasn't played in the NBA in two years, but the 41-year-old sharpshooter is reportedly eyeing a return.

Reports have circulated that Allen has thought about rejoining the Milwaukee Bucks or Boston Celtics, and his reasoning shows the competitive fire is still very much alive.
Via Comcast SportsNet New England, per Pro Basketball Talk:
"Ray wants to play again. I'm sure about that. I don't think he particularly enjoys watching Stephen Curry rain 3s and challenge his record and be called the best shooter in the world. I think that bothers him. I know Ray wants to extend his all-time 3-point record."
Curry's blistering pace is on track to shatter Allen's all-time three-point record of 2,973. At 19th place, Curry has 1,593 in just seven seasons.
Following three up-and-down seasons, Curry has rattled off a streak of shooting unlike anything we've seen before. Whether Allen can return or not remains to be seen.
If he does, he'll likely play limited minutes and would only incrementally push his record further out of reach. If Curry's ankle holds up, and he stays relatively injury-free, it's hard to imagine the Golden State Warriors star not taking down the record in a big way.
