Report: Dallas Cowboys took a look at former 2,000-yard rusher

Dallas Cowboys need help at running back. Is he the answer?

Free-agent running back Chris Johnson is looking at Dallas, but is Dallas looking back?

According to Cowboys reporter, Mike Fisher, America's Team took a look but kept on going.

Even though Johnson's 8,628 yards make him the fifth-leading active rusher in the NFL and one of only seven players to rush for 2,000 yards in a season, he finished last season—his first and last with the Jets—with career lows in carries (155), rushing yards (663) and rushing touchdowns (one).

That combined with the lack of desire Dallas showed back in April when GM Jerry Jones said during a pre-draft press conference that Dallas wasn't concerned with acquiring a running back.

That isn't stopping Johnson's' agent from ringing that Cowboy bell though.

With training camp right around the corner, it will be interesting to see if they answer.
