Before the regular season could even end for the Indianapolis Colts, conversations on a Peyton Manning return to the NFL started to heat up.

Two well-informed media personalities (John Michael Vincent and Bob Kravitz) discussed the possibility of Jim Irsay bringing in Manning to replace general manager Ryan Grigson.
Kravitz followed up on that Sunday:
As of Friday, I was told by an impeccable source there was nothing happening with Manning and Colts. Now, could that change? Sure it could.

Former Colt Marlin Jackson had a bit of a different take:
"They've (Irsay/Manning) had discussions, but where they stand, only those 2 know. I think the ball is all in Peyton's court." -@marlinj28

Former NFL coach Jon Gruden has been linked to every major opening, and was included as a possible Colts option should they go in a different direction. Reports out of Bristol detail Gruden isn't going anywhere (right now).
ESPN's Adam Schefter has noted coaches fear "change coming:"
Those around Colts owner Jim Irsay say he has been “very unhappy” with team’s performance for weeks now; coaches there fear change coming.
