Tide fans can exhale as it looks like Alabama has dodged a major bullet. Damian Harris left Saturday's win against Kent State in the first quarter with an ugly looking lower leg injury and never returned from the locker room. After the game Harris' status was at the top of everyone's minds as Saban was questions by reporters.

Saban: Alabama RB Damian Harris "has an ankle sprain" and will be day-to-day.

Of course an ankle sprain can mean many different things and if in fact it turns out to be a high-ankle sprain day-to-day could turn into a couple of weeks. Regardless a sprain is much better than what many feared when watching live.
Saban also updated the status of Bo Scarbrough who left the game in the second quarter.
Saban said Bo Scarbrough had a thigh bruise. Why he stayed on the sideline for the most part in the second half.

Saban: Joshua Jacobs did a nice job. B.J. Emmons did too. Bo Scarbrough had a thigh bruise (we'd have liked to play him more).

With injuries and inexperience looming large at running back it's safe to say that Alabama will continue to approach the position with a committee of young backs until someone steps up to own the role.
