SC Governor "can't imagine" South Carolina-Georgia game taking place on Saturday

South Carolina and Georgia are currently scheduled to play on Saturday night.

This probably isn't ideal.

With Hurricane Matthew on a path to affect Florida and the Carolinas this weekend, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley announced that she "can't imagine" Saturday's South Carolina-Georgia game taking place due to likely adverse conditions.

The game is currently scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and the SEC will have several options if they choose that conditions will be unsafe for play or travel. The game could be moved to Sunday, or it could even be moved to Athens. We saw a similar move when last year's LSU-South Carolina game was moved to Baton Rouge because of flooding in Columbia.

However, according to DawgNation, the teams and the SEC have yet to have discussion about potential cancellation of the game.
