The nation's second-ranked running back ended his high school career in spectacular fashion, accounting for seven touchdowns to send his Clinton team to the Mississippi 6A state championship Friday night.
Cam Akers, a 5-11, 213 pound five-star prospect who has yet to make a college commitment, racked up 217 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns while passing for 228 yards and 2 more touchdowns in Clinton's 49-35 victory over Pearl.

Media outlets say Akers is considering Ole Miss, LSU, and Alabama, with Ohio State and Florida State in the mix. He also took a visit to Michigan last month, as per Saturday Down South.
The team that lands Akers is getting a good one. 24/7 Sports has him listed as the No. 2 running back and the No. 5 overall prospect in the country. He is also a finalist for the All-USA Offensive Player of the Year.
