Tennessee had a monster day in the world of recruiting as the Vols secured seven commitments in one day. Thanks to its Big Orange Carpet event, enough kids were impressed to commit on the spot to the Big Orange to move the Vols up into the top 10 of 247Sports' recruiting rankings.

Six of the seven pledges came in the class of 2017 and that was enough to catapult Tennessee from the 20th spot to No. 9 in the rankings. Maybe Tennessee should make the event even bigger next year to attract some more recruits and perhaps some big four or five-star guys.
