Tennessee's defense is finally getting some help this weekend

Butch Jones and the Vols have to be excited about this.

Tennessee has been beaten up almost all season on the defensive side of the ball so the Vols were bound to get some good news on the injury front eventually. That day has come as starting middle linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. will be back for the game this weekend against South Carolina.

Kirkland has only played in two games this season and has recorded 16 tackles to go with a sack and a tackle for loss. Against a sputtering offense like South Carolina, Kirkland should have a couple of nice rehab games with Tennessee Tech and Kentucky coming up as well.
