Texas head coach Charlie Strong and the Longhorn boosters have not quite gotten along since Strong was hired in January 2014. The expectations have been national title ever since he stepped foot on campus and he's never truly been given a chance to build a team that could win it.

There have been rumors about who would replace him almost as soon as he was hired and there have been strong indications that the Longhorns coach wouldn't last much longer in Austin. In fact, the latest move from athletic director Mike Perrin certainly won't add more clarity to the situation.

Does this mean a firing is coming closer? Does Strong now have a definitive win number for this season? Does he need to beat Baylor or West Virginia to keep his job? I guess we'll be finding out soon enough.
