Even though the Minnesota said they had all the confidence in the world in Shaun Hill, you knew that was just lip service. There was no way they were going to put their season in his hands, and the team made clear they wanted to pick up an experienced quarterback.

On Saturday, the Vikings pulled the trigger. They traded for Sam Bradford but holy crap did they give up a ton for him:
Final terms: A #Vikings 1st rounder n 2017 and a 4th rounder for #Eagles QB Sam Bradford.

Right now, the Philadelphia Eagles front office is doing a dance, because they cleaned up.

Bradford wasn't in the Eagles long-term plans, not after the team drafted Carson Wentz with the No. 2 pick in this year's drat. Bradford hurt himself when he sulked after the pick, threatening to sit out workouts if he wasn't traded. Bradford eventually came crawling back to the team.
Getting a first and a fourth-round pick for a quaterback the team doesn't even want is already the deal of the year.
The Vikings were desperate after Teddy Bridgewater's horrendous torn ACL knocked him out for the season. The Eagles smelled the fear and pounced. Bradford, 28, threw for 3,725 yard last year with 19 TDs against 14 INTs. But based on ESPN's QBR, Bradford was ranked No. 31 out of 33 quarterbacks, which by any stretch of imagination is awful.
