Three schools believed to be in the hunt for No. 2 running back Cam Akers

That could help out some schools.

Mississippi native and No. 2 running back in the country, Cam Akers, decommitted from Alabama awhile ago and is now on the hunt for a new school. The 5'11", 213-pound back recently finished his season and did it by tearing up a school in the playoffs with seven touchdowns!

Naturally, that has lots of schools clamoring for his services. That includes plenty of SEC schools and those are the schools that make up most of his list of schools he likes right now.

He could become the first running back since Dexter McCluster in 2009 to have a 1,000 yard rushing season for Ole Miss should he go there. If he decides to go to either of the other two he would have some pretty big shoes to fill like Leonard Fournette's and Dalvin Cook's.
