Louisiana's top quarterback Justin Rogers, a four-star prospect and the No. 11 dual-threat player at his position, noted Tuesday night that he will not be playing football in-state:

As SEC Country tells it, head coach Ed Orgeron and recruiter Steve Ensminger checked in on the 6'4", 180-pound prospect and told him offensive coordinator Matt Canada would soon be in touch.
That apparently rubbed the recruit the wrong way:
"I haven't heard from Canada yet," Rogers told SEC Country. "I asked coach Ensminger about it one day. He told me I would hear from him (Canada), but I never did.
"...Neither me or my family is happy about it. ... It's just a business and he (Canada) wasn't interested. LSU is not Louisiana-made anymore."
Not the best start for the Orgeron-led Tigers.
