Gary Trent Jr. is ranked as the top shooting guard in the class of 2017 and will pretty much be able to go wherever he wants to for school next year. It looks like the No. 9 player overall in ESPN's rankings has five specific schools in mind though as he's trimmed his list.

Trent is a 6'6", 205-pound shooting guard that's got smooth enough handles to create his own shot and potentially play as a combo guard for whoever ends up signing him. He's the top player in the state of Minnesota and it looks like he wants to escape the state with his list of Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, UCLA and Michigan State.
He was named first-team All-EYBL this summer averaging 22.4 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game. He will have to work on being a more consistent shooter as he shot a low 40 percent from the floor during league play and about 31 percent from beyond the arc. However, the form is there and the willingness to work is as well so that should come around for his senior year of high school.
