Kentucky and Kansas are two of the nation's oldest and most prestigious basketball institutions. It only makes sense that they should play each other every year if not for historical purposes then at least just to give us some great basketball. It looks like the basketball gods have looked upon us with favor as we will get another matchup of the two teams this season.

The two schools played in 2016 in Lawrence where the Jayhawks got the better of Kentucky 90-84 in an overtime thriller that lived up to the hype of the game. The venue will change to Rupp Arena in 2017 and hopefully this can just become a permanent fixture in the scheduling for both schools each year.
