When Alabama and USC line up against each other in their season openers both teams will be trying to overcome injuries along their offensive line. As previously reported the Tide have concerns surrounding the health of offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor, but it may be USC that is most concerned with the health of their offensive line.

USC starting left tackle Chad Wheeler hasn't been practicing due to injury and may not be able to play against the Tide. While this seems like a wash there is something very important to consider. Yes Taylor is key to Bama's offensive line, but Wheeler being out means an untested sophomore, Chuma Edoga, will be tasked with slowing down Alabama sack machine Tim Williams, which could be a nightmare for the Trojans.
Story at #USC worth keeping an eye on w/ Trojans LT especially with Tim Williams and #Alabama pass rushers in WK 1. https://t.co/HzLPp5rF0E

Wednesday #USC practice is over. Chad Wheeler still not practicing so Chuma Edoga still the 1st team left tackle.

If Wheeler can't go it may be a long day for new USC quarterback Max Browne.
