Freshman running back Joshua Jacobs had himself a day Saturday against Kent State, rushing for 97 yards on 11 carries with two touchdowns while contributing two catches for 23 yards. On Jacobs' second touchdown of the he literally ran out of his shoes en route to the end zone.

Jacobs and fellow freshman B.J. Emmons will be the center of attention in the coming weeks after injuries to both Damian Harris and Bo Scarbrough on Saturday. If those injuries prove to be serious it could a full on true freshman backfield for the Crimson Tide.
