Watch: Nebraska intentionally takes penalty to honor fallen punter

RIP.

This will likely be the most emotional moment for the entire college football season.

A month ago, Nebraska punter Sam Foltz passed away in a fatal car accident that also claimed the life of former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler. On Saturday, Nebraska was forced to take to the field for the first time without their All Big Ten punter.

Literally.

For their first punt of the game, Nebraska sent their punt team out sans a punter. The crowd erupted in cheers in honor of Foltz's memory, as the Cornhuskers took an intentional delay of game with only ten men on the field.

Fresno State, of course, declined the penalty.

It was a touching tribute, and one that does well to honor Foltz's memory. May he rest in peace.
