With LSU heating up, one betting expert gives Tigers favorable spread vs. Alabama

That's pretty generous.

Alabama is riding high into November yet again with another undefeated October for coach Nick Saban. His squad is sitting on a 7-0 record with double digit wins coming against everyone its played and a meeting in Death Valley on Nov. 5.

With Alabama headed to play a rejuvenated LSU team in Baton Rouge, many people are giving the Tigers a chance for an upset this season. That includes betting expert and USA TODAY writer Danny Sheridan who appeared on Paul Finebaum's show.

There are a couple of interesting things going on here as Alabama has been a two-touchdown favorite against almost everyone this season, but also that visitors into Baton Rouge rarely ever get double digit spreads in their favor. So that number is a pretty significant one.

LSU has lit up both of its last opponents in Ole Miss and Southern Miss as the Tigers have combined for almost 500 yards rushing in those two games and have had almost 1,000 yards of total offense in those blowout victories. Will Vegas see this game the same way Sheridan does? That's the bigger question.
