Garcia announced on social media that she and husband Borja Duran are expecting their first child.
"The family is growing," Garcia wrote alongside the announcement.
The 32-year-old married Duran last July, describing their wedding as the best day of her life. The couple's latest milestone comes roughly six months after Garcia played the final match of her professional tennis career.
The French star announced last May that she planned to retire sometime during the 2025 season, eventually making her final appearance at the US Open.

Garcia enjoyed an accomplished career that included 11 WTA singles titles and a career-high ranking of No. 4 in the world.
Her biggest season came in 2022, when she won the WTA Finals and reached the semifinals of the US Open. Garcia also enjoyed considerable success in doubles, winning the French Open women's doubles championship twice alongside Kristina Mladenovic.
Garcia had been open about wanting a different life away from the demands of professional tennis as she approached retirement.
Now, less than a year after getting married and six months removed from her final professional match, Garcia and Duran are preparing for their next chapter together — this time as parents.
