The incident occurred at 10 AM, as several athletes were competing in the University Interscholastic League's (UIL) District 11-5A championship.

According to Frisco police, Frisco Centennial High School student Karmelo Anthony, 17, killed Frisco Memorial's Metcalf, following a dispute.

That is, Metcalf's identical brother, Hunter, spoke to reporters (WFAA) and shed light on what happened, saying it all started by them simply asking Anthony to move up from his seat.

"We asked him to move," Hunter said. "He started getting aggressive and talking reckless. And my brother stepped in and said, 'You need to move.' And he's like, 'Make me move.' All the sudden, he grabbed his backpack."

Then at that instant, Anthony stabbed Metcalf, and unfortunately despite lifesaving efforts, the first responders were unable to save the young high school star.

Hunter highlighted, "It really was under 30 seconds, this altercation," he said. "I never met this kid [Anthony] in my life."

At this time Anthony has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond.

That is, despite the stabbing, Anthony's father is now defending his son, saying he "was not the aggressor," and is a "good kid."

Austin's and Hunter's father, Jeff, spoke on his son's passing.

"They were twins, identical twins, and his brother was holding on to him, trying to make it stop bleeding, and he died in his brother's arms."

"His passion for football was unbelievable," the father continued. "Voted team MVP this past season and carried a 4.0 GPA. I love you forever, son. It's not goodbye, it's see you later. God will take care of us 'til we meet again."
