Aarom Glenn dropped by Florham Park on Monday to introduce himself as the newest head coach of the New York Jets. The former defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions was hired on Jan. 22nd after conducting interviews with the Bears, Jaguars and Raiders. Glenn says ultimately he knew New York was where he wanted to be.

Glenn to Jets Players: 'Put Your Seat Belts on and Get Ready for the Ride'
In his first address he expressed how excited he was to start working with his new team and developing the roster. Glenn urged players to strap in for the rough patches to surely come in his first year as play caller before providing the ultimate assurance that he is prepared for what's to come.
"Listen, there's going to be some challenges," Glenn reiterated. "But with challenges [comes] opportunity. But here's what I do know - We're the freaking New York Jets, so we're built for this s-t."

The sentiment holds a different weight with Aaron Glenn thanks in part to the eight seasons he played as a member of the Gang Green. He spent the better part of his career in New York after being drafted in 1994, including the teams 1-15 campaign in 1996.
Glenn talked about legendary head coach Bill Parcells who came in the following year and led the Jets to a 9-4 record. He talked about the cultural change that Parcells brought to the locker room and how he plans to reinstitute that energy while he's in charge.
Glenn Says He'll Be in Contact with Aaron Rodgers About Role
All the talk of roster changes inevitably prompted questions about Aaron Rodgers's future as the quarterback in New York. Aaron Glenn told reporters he and Rodgers would be in discussions about it soon, reminding everyone he only just got hired this past week. He added that his primary focus was curating a winning roster at any cost.
"This thing is not about Aaron Rodgers folks," Glenn asserted. "This is about the roster, and we plan on building the best roster that we can.
"And listen, everybody is under the microscope. That's just what it is, so we're going to do the best we can to make sure we build the best roster."
