Broncos' Bo Nix Has Heated Exhange With Head Coach Sean Payton During Raiders Game

The Denver Broncos came into their Week 5 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders looking to build on the momentum after defeating the New York Jets last week. But as we approach the midpoint of the NFL season, emotions appear to be boiling over in Denver.

Bo Nix, Sean Payton Have Heated Exchange on Sideline

The Broncos held a 20-10 lead in the second half. And after failing to convert on 3rd down in the second half, head coach Sean Payton decided to punt the ball and avoid the risk of giving Las Vegas better field position if they didn't convert. That decision apparently didn't sit well with Broncos' starting quarterback, Bo Nix who was involved in a heated back-and-forth with Payton on the sideline.

The fiery exchange led to a plethora of fan reactions on social media.

"Bo Nix going off on Sean Payton makes me so happy after how he did Russell Wilson last season during that game," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"I actually love this from Bo Nix. Sean Payton's going to get heated on the sideline but if you really believe you're right...give it back. Shows how competitive they both are," another fan added.

Terrell Davis Casts Doubt on Broncos Quarterback

Nix appears to have found something offensively as he has had a touchdown pass in consecutive games for the first time in his NFL career. The Broncos' QB had a rough start to his career.

In his first three games, he threw two interceptions and zero touchdowns. That rough start had Broncos legend Terrell Davis scratching his head.

"They won two games with him as the quarterback - but he hasn't played great," Davis said. "You have some people watching it and saying, 'OK, I know it's in there, but I need to see it. I need to see that top 12 draft pick.' And you don't see it every game. You don't see it consistently. There's a little bit of a concern about it until I see it."
