Colorado Star Travis Hunter Reveals Asking Price to Forego NFL Draft

University of Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter is one of the biggest stars in college football. He is also one of the more unique players in the history of the sport, as he plays on both sides of the ball. He is a cornerback on defense and on offense he plays wide receiver.

Travis Hunter Reveals Asking Price to Stay at Colorado

Hunter will be draft-eligible this spring and is expected to enter his name in the 2025 NFL Draft where he is expected to be one of the top picks.

But he still has the option to skip the draft and remain in Boulder. When asked how much it would cost for him to stay in Colorado, Hunter joked that it would cost $40 million.

Deion Sanders Snaps Back at Pat McAfee

The Buffaloes have surprised a lot of people this season and that has largely been due to Hunter's play. On offense, he is having the best season of his college career as he has already eclipsed his career-high in receiving touchdowns and we are only at the midway point.

On defense, he has been just as special with 10 solo tackles and two interceptions on the season. Hunter's elite play has a lot of people thinking he is a shoo-in to win the Heisman award at the end of the year. But during College Gameday, host Pat McAfee said he had Hunter ranked second in the Heisman standings.

Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders was quick to refute that claim.

"And how is that? How do you even fix your mouth to say that? How do you even fix your mouth to say that?" Sanders said to McAfee

"Travis Hunter and second place have never gotten along."

This isn't the first time this week that Coach Sanders has had a gripe with the media. Earlier this week Sanders was asked by a reporter who was better as a two-way athlete between him and Hunter to which Sanders took exception.

"It's not me against Travis," Sanders said during a recent press conference. "I had my turn, man. I'm not a doorknob anymore. You can't just turn me on and off like a light switch anymore. I don't do that. Travis is everything. He is 'it.' It's his turn now. I want him to have all the accolades, all the praise, all the love, all the attention, and all the focus that he desires. I've had my turn."
