Cowboys botch crunchtime clock, fall to Giants in season-opener

The Dallas Cowboys had a chance behind Dak Prescott’s arm, but thanks to wideout Terrance Williams, the New York Giants exited Week 1 with a victory.

Prescott found a wide-open Williams along the right sideline, but unaware of the clock and how little time the Cowboys had, the wide receiver ran inside the numbers instead of out of bounds. He was tackled shortly after and the clock ran out.

The ending couldn’t have been more of a disaster, but for the Cowboys, it’s a promising start for Prescott.
