Fans Rip NFL During 'Unwatchable' 2025 Pro Bowl Games

With the Kansas City Cheifs and Philadelphia Eagles set to square off in the Super Bowl on February 9, the NFL sort of had a bye week, with no official games on the schedule. But during that hiatus, the biggest stars around the league took center stage for the NFL Pro Bowl Games on January 30.

Some of the most notable names were in attendance, but still, many fans were left unimpressed with the quality of the Pro Bowl Games, and let their frustrations out on social media.

"It's so terrible. They need to just cancel it lol," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"That s—t been unwatchable for a good 8-10 years but especially now," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"So f———g stupid. Give us a game already damn," another person said.

NFL EVP Gets Honest About Pro Bowl Format Switch

When the Pro Bowl was introduced in 1951, it was a format that saw the best players in the AFC face off against the best player in the NFC. However, after years of low viewership, the league office decided to change the format in 2023 to include a host of games and challenges for the selected players.

Following the decision, Peter O'Reilly, the NFL Executive Vice President of Club Business and League Events, said that the decision was based on feedback from players and fans.

"We've received invaluable feedback from players, teams, and fans about reimagining the Pro Bowl, and as a result, we're thrilled to use The Pro Bowl Games as a platform to spotlight Flag football as an integral part of the sport's future while also introducing fun, new forms of competition and entertainment that will bring our players, their families and fans closer than ever before," O' Reilly said.
