In his appearance during the trailer, Durant delivers a legendary line about former Golden State teammate Stephen Curry.
After Evan Fournier of Team France claims the chemistry his team will lead them to a gold medal, we cut to Kevin Durant who offers a fitting rebuttal.

The two-time Finals MVP often praises his fellow professionals when it's due, and Stephen Curry is one he continues to show a deep reverence for.
Kevin Durant joined Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors from 2017-2019 and ushered one of the greatest dynasties in league history. Even after he split from the Bay Area after they lost in the 2019 Finals, Durant and Curry have continued to show respect for each other as athletes and as people.
Durant had an interview with Andscape's Marc. J Spears during the now infamous 2024 Team USA Olympic gold medal run. He talked about how exciting it was getting to know his former teammate on a deeper level, calling Curry "an incredible human being."
