Amid the bombshell sexual assault allegations against several current and former Fox employees, Shannon Sharpe has now entered the chat, denying that he had any involvement with the accusations against his former co-workers.
Fans React to Sharpe's Response to Fox Lawsuit
Fans were patiently awaiting for Sharpe's response after the bombshell report dropped. And after he broke his silence fans weighed in on social media.
"That's his response? Sounds like he's trying hard to avoid the subject. Maybe there is something in there with him," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"So, he's admitting the merits of the case are there but he has nothing to do with it," another user added.
Sharpe: 'That Ain't Got Nothing to Do with Me'
The NFL Hall of Famer was hosting the latest episode of his "Nightcap" podcast on Sunday when news broke of a damning 42-page lawsuit filed against his ex-employer, Fox Sports, and several of their representatives. Among the defendants are Sharpe's former co-hosts on FS1's Undisputed Skip Bayless and Joy Taylor.
The nature of the lawsuit raised questions among fans, particularly whether there were any names left off the defendants list. While many seemingly chose to ignore any discourse about the situation, Shannon Sharpe was all too ready to clear his name.
"That ain't got nothing to do with me," said Sharpe. "It doesn't. What do y'all want me to say? That ain't got nothing to do with me. So, there's nothing to address. I don't know why everybody keep — if you notice, everybody's posting it, they got me.
Sharpe continued: "In those 42 pages, it doesn't mention that Shannon Sharpe did anything. But yall want to get clicks, so ya'll mention me."
FOX, Several Personalities Accused of Sexual Battery
Noushin Faraji filed charges in Los Angeles on Friday against Fox Sports and several of their sister companies for, among other things, sexual harassment. Faraji alleges that during her 12-year stint with the company she was "forced to endure a misogynistic, racist, and ableist workplace where executives and talent were allowed to physically and verbally abuse workers with impunity."
In a statement to Front Office Sports, Fox said: "We take these allegations seriously and have no further comment at this time given this pending litigation."
