According to a press release, Hasbro has partnered with Formula 1 to create Monopoly Formula 1 Edition. This game takes the classic board game and adds new racing elements. This includes race car and helmet-shaped pieces; optional upgrades for tyres and other components; a central track for added races; and all of the tracks from the season schedule.
Formula 1 has teamed up with toy and games leader @Hasbro to launch a special F1‑themed edition of one of the world’s most iconic board games, Monopoly.

The updated version of the board game tasks the players with racing through the F1 season while collecting championship points and wins. They must also race helmet tokens around the in-game track after passing the GO square.
The GO square is not the only updated section of the board. This version of Monopoly also includes a drive-through penalty, a time penalty, and multiple override areas. The jail remains unchanged, but the game includes pit stop cards where players must roll the dice to see how efficiently their crews will perform.
Preorders for the Monopoly Formula 1 Edition begin Wednesday, May 20. The game will release on July 15.
"Monopoly is one of the most iconic and best-loved board games in the world, so we're thrilled to bring a Formula 1 twist to such a classic," said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1.
"This edition captures the excitement and competitiveness of the sport in a fun, accessible way, and we're confident fans of all ages will love going head-to-head with their friends and family when they take to the grid and compete in the Monopoly Grand Prix."
This news surfaces as the Formula 1 teams prepare for a change to the schedule. The Monaco Grand Prix, which has traditionally taken place the same day as the Indianapolis 500 and Coca-Cola 600, is no longer part of the May schedule. It moved to June as part of a massive contract extension.
Now, the teams will spend May 22-24 at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Canada. They will have practice and sprint qualifying on May 22, the sprint race and qualifying on May 23, and the Canadian Grand Prix on May 24.
