Four-star safety Xavier McKinney has decommitted from Alabama

Big loss for Alabama.

The Crimson Tide just lost their lone defensive back commit of the 2017 class, as four-star safety Xavier McKinney (6-foot-1, 192 pounds, Roswell, GA) decommitted from Alabama on Thursday.

McKinney is the No. 57 overall recruit in the 2017 class according to Rivals.com, which made him one of Alabama's top commits. Alabama still has a strong recruiting class, but losing him hurts now and it could hurt more later; according to 247Sports, Georgia and Clemson are now the favorites for the Atlanta native.

Alabama still has 14 recruits committed to their 2017 class.
