The moment occurred with 4:03 remaining in the second quarter. Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders dropped back from the 28-yard line and rolled to his right. He then launched a pass downfield to a wide-open Jeudy.

The receiver hauled in the pass at the Las Vegas 48-yard line before turning upfield. He then slowed while surrounded by four Raiders defenders. It appeared that he started to skip in celebration. This is the moment the play turned disastrous as safety Jeremy Chinn rushed up from behind and punched the ball out.

Linebacker Elandon Roberts dove on the ball for a fumble recovery. Unfortunately for the Raiders, they did not score any points after this turnover. The Geno Smith-led offense went three-and-out before punting the ball back to the Browns.

"Jerry Jeudy with a really nice catch and run, housing the awareness of the great Ross Geller in a backyard turkey day football game," one person posted on X after watching the disastrous play. "And you can't teach that."

Jeudy served as a pivotal piece of the Browns' offense last season, his first year with the team. He caught a career-high 90 passes for 1,229 yards and four touchdowns. This put him into the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.

This season, the former first-round draft pick has not caught more than six passes in a game. He hit this mark against the Jets as he posted a season-high 78 yards and his only receiving touchdown. His previous best this season was five catches for 66 yards in the season-opening loss to the Bengals.

This lone 39-yard catch, run, and fumble against the Raiders served as Jeudy's only opportunity to make a play in the first three quarters of Sunday's game.

Sanders targeted other pass catchers while trying to build on an 11-point lead. He repeatedly threw passes in the direction of Isaiah Bond and Harold Fannin Jr. This included a 52-yard bomb to Bond that set up a Quinshon Judkins rushing touchdown.
