Cleveland Browns star running back Nick Chubb returned to practice for the first time since undergoing season-ending surgery.

Nick Chubb Feeling Good in Return to Action
Chubb practiced Wednesday for the first time since tearing his ACL and MCL in Week 2 of the 2023 season. He missed all of training camp and the 2024 preseason, as well as the Browns' first four games of the regular season.
The four-time Pro Bowler said it "felt good" to be back out on the field with his team, adding that his newly rehabilitated knee is holding up fine as well.
Chubb said: "I've been doing things on my own for a while now so I've been used to everything I've done out there. But it feels good."
Cleveland has not yet committed to a date for Nick Chubb's season debut. Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey calimed one practice was not enough for an accurate evaluation, saying it was "too early" to tell. Cleveland is likely to use most of the running back's 21-day practice eligibility window before suiting him up for game action.
When asked how long he would need to recover before playing, Chubb responded, "Whenever I feel good."
Chubb Feels Grateful to Still Be in Cleveland
The Browns star has been one of the NFL's most prolific ball-carriers when healthy. The year before his knee injury, he racked up a career-high 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Nick Chubb is no stranger to the scourge of injuries, tearing his MCL, PCL and LCL in his left knee while at the University of Georgia in 2015. Chubb says he is not worried about the prospect of re-injuring his knee, adding that he's ready to start producing for his team wherever he can.
Much speculation was made about the running backs position on the Browns during the offseason. Eventually Chubb and the organization were able to come to an agreement that kept him in Cleveland. Though relieved, the six-year veteran was not oblivious to the direction that could have been taken in the situation.
"Definitely a blessing," Chubb said. "They could have cut me dry and left me hanging, right? But they did a great job. You know, I want to be here in Cleveland. They know that. So, we came to a great point."
