Coaches like seeing effort in practices, but one player in Mississippi State's spring game may have gone too far.
The Bulldogs ended their spring game early on Saturday after the above hit late in the game by Jonathan Abram on running back Bennie Braswell. After an option pitch was fumbled, Braswell chased the ball on the ground, where he was blindsided by Abram.
Braswell was on the field for a few minutes after the hit, and because of the running clock, Mississippi State just opted to end the game.
Braswell was eventually able to walk off the field, but this was a scary hit, especially for a game where contact is less emphasized. Hopefully Braswell is alright and major injury was averted.
