As the NBA's only Canadian team, it is customary for both the Canadian and U.S. National Anthem to be sung during Raptors games. With the Raptors playing host in this contest, the United States anthem was scheduled to be sung first.

Unfortunately, that was much to the dismay of many of the fans in attendance at the Scotia Bank Arena, as one video showed them booing the United States National Anthem singer, Kyra Daniels, prior to tipoff.

Following the release of the video, fans went on social media to express their disgust.

"I feel bad for the singer just doing their job," one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"And the Raptors lost. Pathetic," another user added.

Ex Raptors Star Gets Candid on Relationship With Drake

Amid his rap beef with rap star Kendrick Lamar, Grammy award winner and Raptors team ambassador, Drake unfollowed several of his celebrity friends on Instagram. Some of those people included podcaster Joe Budden, rap star Playboi Carti, and new Sacramento Kings guard DeMar DeRozan.

DeRozan and Drake built a relationship when DeMar was playing for Drake's hometown team, the Toronto Raptors. However, Kendrick is from DeMar's hometown of Compton, California. But as far as the rap beef between Kendrick and Drake goes, the new Kings' guard is staying neutral.

"Drake's still my man, still my man, none of it changed," DeRozan said. "It's so easy to get overlooked and look at it for what it looks like, but at the end of the day it's music, entertainment. Two of the biggest rappers in the world went at it from a competitive standpoint and they battled it out."
