Social Media Erupts After Bills Hand Patrick Mahomes, Undefeated Chiefs First Loss of Season

One of the most anticipated matchups of Week 11 was the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs taking on the red-hot Buffalo Bills, in a rematch of last year's AFC Divisional Game. With the Bills hosting this one at home they were hungry for revenge after last year's loss.

Fans Rip Patrick Mahomes After Loss to Bills

The Chiefs have been the cardiac kids this season, seemingly always pulling out their best when the chips are down. But that wasn't the case in Week 11. A late interception by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes sealed Kansas City's fate and dashed their hopes for an undefeated season.

Following the loss, fans went crazy with reactions on social media.

"Now that the Chiefs lost, is the national media going to acknowledge that Patrick Mahomes has thrown 11 interceptions in 10 games?" one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Patrick Mahomes choked the game away and the refs couldn't even bail him out," another user added.

Hollywood Brown Potential Return Still a Factor

The Chiefs have been among the most impressive teams this season. Now with a record of 9-1 Kansas City's bid for a third consecutive Super Bowl title still looks as alive as it has ever been. What is even more impressive is that their roster has been slammed with injuries throughout their season. Rashee Rice and Isaiah Pacheco lead the list of important players who have missed significant time.

Another injured player that has flown under the radar a bit is star wide receiver Hollywood Brown. After being acquired by the Chiefs during the free agency period, Brown has not played at all this season after suffering a shoulder injury during the offseason. As the season trends toward the playoffs, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler says that the Chiefs have not ruled out his return.

"And the Chiefs haven't totally ruled out a return for Hollywood Brown (shoulder) at some point. Kansas City coaches have been checking in with him, and the picture should become more clear over the next three to four weeks," he said.
