Here we go again.
It just wouldn't be football Sunday this year without a weekly dose of absurd excessive celebration penalties.
This one came in the second quarter of Oakland's matchup with the Jags when Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree scored on a two-yard touchdown pass from Derek Carr.
It's beginning to look like the league has some sort of vested interest in these kinds of calls and their corresponding hefty fines. Crabtree's being accused of celebrating by making a throat slashing motion, but that doesn't appear to be completely accurate.
It does look like he maybe started to go that route initially and then cut it short after remembering that the refs have lost their minds this year.
There's just no way this hard line stuff will be around after this season. At least we hope not.
