Tom Brady will serve his four-game suspension to start the season stemming from his alleged role in DeflateGate.

But according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio in MMQB, the quarterback has given the NFL Players Association permission to proceed with the appeal process on his behalf.
Here's what that means:
"It won't keep him from missing the first four games of the season, but it could ultimately restore his lost pay of more than $253,000, reduce the Commissioner's power in player disciplinary cases, and provide Brady with genuine vindication."
While Brady may have lost the battle, if the NFLPA somehow wins the appeal, he'll have clearly won the war.
