Actress Aubrey Plaza Tears ACL At WNBA All-Star Weekend

During the WNBA All-Star event, it wasn't a player that got injured, but rather famous actress Aubrey Plaza, who suffered a torn ACL right before the game.

Just hours ahead of when the WNBA All-Stars were set to take on the Team USA women's team, the "Parks and Rec" star apparently got injured during a game of 'knockout.'

The broadcasters gave the background story of what led to the injury.

"I feel for Aubrey Plaza," Ryan Ruocco said. "She came to this weekend with a healthy knee. She's leaving with a torn ACL thanks to a hardy game of 'knockout' at the Mercury practice facility."

"I did not know it was possible to tear your ACL while playing 'knockout,' said the other announcer.

To point out, this is not the first time that the Hollywood star tore her ACL, as Plaza previously noted on Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe's podcast, A Touch More, that she had suffered the same injury while playing in a women's recreation league in Los Angeles.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese joined forces on Team WNBA to help defeat the Team USA women's team, 117-109.

Clark contributed 10 assists (one assist shy of Sue Bird's All-Star record), while Reese dropped 12 points and 11 rebounds. Notably, Arike Ogunbowale led all scorers with 34 points (8-of-13 3PT).
