A tense moment between A'ja Wilson and a courtside fan became one of the biggest talking points from the Fever's playoff win over the Aces on Tuesday night.

The exchange happened in the fourth quarter of Indiana's 99-89 victory. Wilson was battling Sophie Cunningham for position when Cunningham was called for a foul. A fan near the baseline stood, pointed toward Wilson and appeared to tell her, "That's on you," according to video described by the New York Post.
Wilson took out her mouthguard and responded. Teammates and staff moved in, and she was eventually assessed a technical foul.
The four-time MVP said afterward that she apologized to her team for the technical, but objected to the fan's behavior. The Fever said arena security spoke with the fan and witnesses and determined that he had not violated the team's conduct policy. He was not removed, the Post reported.
The incident quickly produced its own argument online, with different camera angles prompting different interpretations of how close the fan came to Wilson. Her agent, Jade-Li English, also posted images of the fan on X.

On the court, the Fever did what they needed to do. The victory tied the WNBA series at one game apiece and forced a deciding Game 3 in Las Vegas on Thursday.
