The Chicago Sky have traded the two-time All-Star to the Atlanta Dream in a deal centered around future picks. Chicago gets a 2027 first-rounder and a 2028 first-rounder, along with a 2028 second-round swap.
That's the business side. The basketball side is just as interesting.
Reese, 23, has already established herself as one of the most productive players in the league. She led the WNBA in rebounding again last season at 12.6 per game and made history by averaging at least 12 boards in back-to-back seasons.
She also led the Sky in scoring and assists and piled up 23 double-doubles. Now she lands in Atlanta, joining a playoff-caliber roster with Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard already in place.

"Angel is a dynamic talent and a perfect fit," Dream GM Dan Padover said.
The fit in Chicago wasn't as smooth.
Reese publicly pushed for roster upgrades late last season, making it clear she wasn't interested in staying on a rebuilding team long-term. The comments led to a suspension and added tension down the stretch.
Chicago struggled without her, finishing 10-34 and missing the playoffs again. Now both sides reset.
The Sky stockpile picks and look ahead. The Dream add a proven force in the paint.
Reese gets what she wanted: a new situation, abetter chance to win, and a fresh start that comes with expectations.
