The Indiana Fever guard announced Thursday night that she will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season after struggling to recover from a groin injury that has sidelined her since July 15.
"I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season," Clark wrote on social media. "I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there. Disappointed isn't a big enough word to describe how I am feeling."
Clark called the process "incredibly frustrating," but also thanked Fever fans for their continued support. "Even in the bad, there is good," she wrote. "The way the fans continued to show up for me, and for the Fever, brought me so much joy and important perspective. Now it's time to close out the season and claim our spot in the Playoffs."
The announcement ends a difficult sophomore campaign for Clark, who was limited to 13 games after a Rookie of the Year debut season in 2024. A quad strain, multiple groin injuries, and an ankle bone bruise never allowed her to find consistency. She averaged 16.5 points and 8.8 assists in her limited action, while shooting just 27.9 percent from 3-point range.

Clark was still named an All-Star but missed out on both All-Star weekend in Indianapolis and the Commissioner's Cup championship.
Fever head coach Stephanie White confirmed this week that Clark had not yet been cleared for contact, noting the team needed to see her in "multiple practices" before any return to play. That clearance never came.
The Fever are 8-5 with Clark in the lineup this season, compared to 13-15 without her. At 21-20 overall, they currently hold the eighth and final playoff spot, just 1½ games ahead of the ninth-place Sparks, who own the tiebreaker.
The Fever will now try to hang on without their biggest star.
