Tom Brady will soon be receiving his eighth championship ring. Yet, this most recent one isn't from football like the first seven were. It's from the WNBA.

Upon beating the New York Liberty 70-69 during Wednesday's Game 4 of the Finals, the Las Vegas Aces won the 2023 WNBA Championship. Because Tom Brady is now a part owner of the Aces (after joining Mark Davis's ownership group earlier this year), the Aces' victory means that Brady is technically now a WNBA Champion.
Although Championship #8 came in more of a spectator role than Brady is used to — and despite us not seeing him dancing with the Aces postgame like we did with Mark Davis — the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback was surely still excited to see his Aces repeat as champs.
Brady hasn't made any public mention of the Aces' victory yet — which might put him in hot water with Aces' star guard Kelsey Plum, who had no problem calling Brady out (jokingly) for finally showing up to an Aces game earlier this month after his ownership stake with the Aces was approved by the WNBA.
While Brady's 8th ring came via basketball, there's still a chance he isn't done collecting Super Bowl rings. No, I'm not saying that Brady will un-retire once again and return to a football field near you. Rather, Mark Davis — who, along with the Aces, also owns the Las Vegas Raiders — has offered Brady a minority ownership stake with the Raiders.
Despite the NFL's approval process for Brady's Raiders ownership coming to a recent stall (due to concerns by the league's finance committee about the discounted price Davis has offered Brady), the deal is expected to be approved at some point. Meaning, if the Raiders were to win a Super Bowl once Brady is an owner, it would mean ring #9 for TB12.
Yet, considering that the Raiders are 3-3 this season and seem lightyears away from competing for a Super Bowl, that ring doesn't seem likely anytime soon.
However, now that the Las Vegas Aces have established a WNBA dynasty — winning back-to-back Championships and already appearing as favorites to three-peat next season — Brady might keep racking up rings as a result of their success.
Perhaps an Aces three-peat in 2024 — and resulting ring #9 — is what it will take for Brady to bust out the dance moves like Mark Davis did on Wednesday.
