Butch Jones and Tennessee have been absolutely unstoppable on the recruiting trail this year. The Vols have already racked up 24 verbal commitments for the class of 2017, but that doesn't mean Jones' job is finished for the year. There will undoubtedly be some kids who flip before February both in favor of the Vols and against them.

Butch Jones isn't generally one to rest on his laurels so he'll still be looking to swing a homerun or two in the class since he doesn't have any five-star recruits committed yet. The prize for Tennessee in the state is offensive lineman Trey Smith from Jackson University School who's a top-60 prospect and No. 1 overall recruit according to ESPN. Wins in the Battle at Bristol and against Florida should give the Vols some serious credit on the recruiting trail though as those two games are some of the best ones early in the season.
