Breaking news, for real: I'm told Alabama will announce former USC coach Steve Sarkisian as a special offensive assistant on Tuesday.

Reports are the move will take place Tuesday, Sept. 6. This would be Sarkisian's first coaching position since he was removed by USC as head coach last October due to alcohol abuse issues. Sarkisian previously worked as co-offensive coordinator with Lane Kiffin at USC and is currently working for Fox Sports 1.
