Stephen A. Smith claims Carmelo Anthony will only accept a buyout to go to one team

That would be quite the move.

The New York Knicks and star forward Carmelo Anthony have not been on the best of terms and there have been talks about trying to move him. However, he has a no-trade clause and has made it clear he wants to stay in or near New York to be close to his son. There is one way that the Knicks could part ways though and let Anthony do his own thing, and that's by buying out the remainder of his contract.

The next step would be for Anthony to find a team and ESPN's Stephen A. Smith believes that there's only one team he would be willing to go to should a buyout occur.

Cleveland would likely have to make some serious room for Anthony were he to sign a contract with them. While he would still be getting paid his $54 million by the Knicks, he likely wouldn't want to play for the Cavs for free either. However, the 33-year old might be willing to take a substantial pay cut to play with his buddy LeBron James.

Anthony averaged 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game last season.
