Former LSU head coach is set on returning to the college football sidelines after he was dismissed from the Tigers last year. While he desperately wants to return, he apparently interviewed to do FOX Sports work, per Montgomery Advertiser:

"Miles said he went for a tryout to be an analyst for FOX Sports, but didn't want to be conformed.
"It's a struggle when you haven't had a censor button on the sidelines," Miles said. "You quickly find out I gave it the old college try, but it's not going to happen."
Miles has said he would interested in coaching again, but didn't mention any potential opportunities on Monday."
That comes after news broke that Miles will do some "network television work" this fall, but didn't go into any details on what that may include.

His daughter, Smacker Miles, told Aaron Suttles of TIDE 102.9 that she would love to see him take a media job as well, per The Advocate:
"I'm really trying to convince him to do media now," she said. "I would really love to work with him, but I think he still really wants to coach."
It looks like the younger Miles might get the chance to live her dream and get in the booth or on the desk with her dad. After finishing up her career at the University of Texas at Austin, Smacker Miles is reportedly pursuing a journalism career and was in attendance at SEC Media Days.
Les Miles has been out of a job since late September 2016 and, in some ways, that is bizarre. His entire exit as the head coach of the LSU Tigers was strange in nature and, given Miles' track record, his unemployment for the 2017 college football season is also unusual.
