Kyrie Irving reportedly willing to sign long-term if traded to one title contender

This could make things quite interesting.

Kyrie Irving has made it clear he wants a trade out of Cleveland in hopes of beating LeBron James out of town next summer when his contract runs out. One of the teams that has been reported as a potential landing spot is the San Antonio Spurs, and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that he would be willing to sign a long-term deal with them as well.

"The Spurs have interest in Irving, league sources say, and Irving's willingness to commit to an extension with the Spurs makes for legitimate win-now deal possibilities for Cleveland."

No deal has been made yet because of the uncertainty of Irving's willingness to sign a long-term contract with a team he would get traded to. However, if this report becomes true it sounds like the Spurs would just need to find the right combination of players to trade to make it work. That could become a bit complicated though, especially if LeBron ends up leaving next year and doesn't give the team any hint it's coming.
