Former No. 6 overall pick Josh Childress hasn't played in the NBA since 2013, but he is making his return this season.

Childress, who has been playing in the Big 3 league, agreed to terms with the Denver Nuggets.

Childress, 34, played the first four seasons of his career with the Atlanta Hawks, who drafted him out of Stanford in 2004. He then decided to play overseas in Greece after signing a three-year, $20 million deal.
He returned to the NBA in 2010 with the Phoenix Suns, where he played two seasons. He then played sparingly with the Brooklyn Nets and New Orleans Pelicans before playing overseas again.
Childress has averaged 9.1 points per game during his career, and his career best was 13 ppg in 2007 with the Hawks.
It's unclear where he fits with Denver's rotation, but he will likely be a role player for the Nuggets.
