Barrett, who's currently playing in his senior season at Ohio State, had himself a monumental showing in week three against Army. He completed 25-of-33 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 32 yards and a score on the ground, but it was his fourth-quarter pass to Austin Mack that has everyone talking.
The play, which can be seen below, solidified Barrett as the Big Ten's all-time leader in "touchdowns responsible for". The player he passed up is none other than former Purdue quarterback Drew Brees.

The record-breaker had to feel great for Barrett, who has been in the crosshairs a bit recently for a sub-par performance against Oklahoma in a 31-16 loss. Barrett completed only 19-of-35 passes against the Sooners. He didn't throw a touchdown and he was picked off.
His play was questionable enough, in fact, that a big name recruit and top OSU target advocated the Buckeyes turn to Dwayne Haskins Jr. instead of the senior quarterback. It was big enough news that ESPN analyst and former Buckeye quarterback Kirk Herbstreit got involved.
Sure, Army isn't Oklahoma, but this had to be a moment of redemption for Barrett, who is unquestionably a great Big Ten quarterback.
OSU beat Army 38-7.
