Alabama's Most Mouthwatering Milkshakes Are Built at The Mason Jar

There is treating yourself, and then there's making your way to the milkshake bar of The Mason Jar Restaurant. Affectionately referred to as The Jar, this family-friendly eatery is nestled just south of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, and the menu includes everything your Southern appetite could possible desire. Start with fried pickles or fried green tomatoes, then order up the country fried steak, shrimp and grits, or chicken and dumplings for dinner. Obviously, you'll need an order of chicken wings, fried okra or cornbread to tide you over if you miss out on the loaded lunch buffet.

But for desert, there is only one item you need to worry about: Extreme Milkshakes.

Extreme Milkshakes at The Mason Jar

Yeah, these monsters are going to take a village to put down, then promptly require a long and well-earned nap.

Only In Your State explains:

"Each Extreme Milkshake... comes with a variety of toppings, including candy bars, popsicles, cupcakes, fruit, cotton candy, cheesecake, and so much more. Because these specialty milkshakes are rather large, you'll want to bring appetite or be prepared to share."

"We love our guests and are thrilled to share our families recipes with them," The Mason Jar told us. "We take great pride that we are in Auburn, and we want all of our visitors to have a fun enjoyable experience and love coming to Auburn!"

The best part? They only cost 10 dollars! Man, if you're anywhere near Auburn or are planning to visit during college football season in the fall, you need to take a trip to South College Street and dive headfirst into these works of art for yourself.
