No matter where a college football recruit lives, he will get noticed if he's a great player. Some of the biggest programs across the country will gladly go into enemy territory to land him, too. Carrollton High School outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss had plenty of big-time offers, but he felt the best staying close to home.

Chambliss, a four-star linebacker from Carrollton, Georgia, committed to the Georgia Bulldogs in May 2020. He had been pursued by some great teams, especially in the SEC, but no one went after him quite like head coach Kirby Smart and defensive coordinator Dan Lanning.
"Out of the schools that were recruiting me, Georgia made me feel wanted," Chambliss told 247Sports. "They text me every day, they care about you as a person, you can tell."
The 2021 Georgia football recruiting class has become yet another star-studded group.

Chaz Chambliss Highlights
Whether he plays outside linebacker or has his hand in the ground as a defensive end at the next level, there's no doubt Chambliss will bring it each time he suits up, and his commitment adds another win to Georgia football this recruiting cycle.
"Sitting on Zoom meetings with him, [Dan Lanning] continued to show me how I would fit into their defense. It felt like the right choice for me. Outside linebacker in most packages, but at Georgia they have a ton of different packages for certain types of offenses , so if you play outside linebacker at Georgia it is very versatile."
